Capri, pritme :-)

Nous n'irons plus jamais
Ou tu m'as dit je t’aime
Nous n'irons plus jamais
Tu viens de décider
Nous n'irons plus jamais
Ce soir c'est plus la peine
Nous n'irons plus jamais
Comme les autres années
Capri c'est fini
Et dire que c'était la ville
De mon premier amour
Capri c'est finiJe ne crois pas
Que j'y retournerai un jour
Capri c'est fini
Et dire que c'était la ville
De mon premier amour
Capri c'est fini
Je ne crois pas
Que j'y retournerai un jour
Nous n'irons plus jamais
Ou tu m'as dit je t'aime
Nous n'irons plus jamais
Comme les autres années
Parfois je voudrais
Bien te dire recommençons
Mais je perds le courage
Sachant que tu diras non
Capri c'est fini
Et dire que c'était la ville
De mon premier amour
Capri c'est fini
Je ne crois pas
Que j'y retournerai un jour
Capri c'est fini
Et dire que c'était la ville
De mon premier amour
Capri c'est fini
Je ne crois pas
Que j'y retournerai un jour
Nous n'irons plus jamais
Mais je me souviendrais
Du premier rendez vous
Que tu m'avais donné
Nous n'irons plus jamais
Comme les autres années
Nous n'irons plus jamais
Plus jamais plus jamais
Capri c'est fini
Et dire que c'était la ville
De mon premier amour
Capri c'est finiJe ne crois pas
Que j'y retournerai un jour
Capri c'est fini
Et dire que c'était la ville
De mon premier amour
Capri c'est finiJe ne crois pas
Que j'y retournerai un jour
Capri c'est fini
Et dire que c'était la ville
De mon premier amour
Capri c'est finiJe ne crois pas
Que j'y retournerai un jour
Capri c'est fini
Et dire que c'était la ville
De mon premier amour
Capri c'est fini
Je ne crois pas
Que j'y retournerai un jour

Bashke ne pafundesi...

Sonnet 100

In the center of the earth I will push aside
the emeralds so that I can see you--
-you like an amanuensis, with a pen
of water, copying the green sprigs of plants.

What a world! What deep parsley!
What a ship sailing through the sweetness!
And you, maybe---and me, maybe---a topaz.
There'll be no more dissensions in the bells.

There won't be anything but all the fresh air,
apples carried on the wind,
the succulent book in the woods:

and there where the carnations breathe,
we will beginto make ourselves a clothing,
something to lastthrough the eternity of a victorious kiss.

Wystan Hugh Auden

Funeral Blues

Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone,
Prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone,
Silence the pianos and with muffled drum
Bring out the coffin let the mourners come.

Let aero planes circle moaning overhead
Scribbling on the sky the message: He Is Dead,
Put crepe bows round the white necks of the public doves,
Let the traffic policemen wear black cotton gloves.

He was my North, my South, my East and West,
My working week and my Sunday rest,
My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song;
I thought that love would last forever: I was wrong.

(Ai ishte veriu im, jugu im, lindja ime dhe perendimi,
Java ime e punes dhe e diela ime e pushimit
Hena ime, mesnata ime, e folura ime, kenga ime;
Mendoja qe dashuria do zgjaste pergjithmone; gabohesha)

The stars are not wanted now;put out every one:
Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun;
Pour away the ocean and sweep up the woods:
For nothing now can ever come to any good.

The more loving one

Looking up at the stars, I know quite well
That, for all they care,I can go to hell,
But on earth indifference is the least
We have to dread from man or beast.

How should we like it were stars to burn
With a passion for us we could not return?
If equal affection cannot be,
Let the more loving one be me.

Admirer as I think I am
Of stars that do not give a damn,
I cannot, now I see them, say
I missed one terribly all day.

Were all stars to disappear or die,
I should learn to look at an empty sky
And feel its total dark sublime,
Though this might take me a little time

Vladimir Majakovski

IMPOSSIBLE

I can’t do it alone
-carry the grand piano
(and even less,the safe).
But if I can’t manage the safe
or the grand piano,
then,having retrieved it,
how can I carry my heart.

Bankers know:“We’re boundlessly rich.
If we don’t have enough pockets,
we can stuff our safes.
In you—
I have hidden my love
,
like riches in steel, and I walk about
exalting, a Croesus.
And,if desire insist
I can draw out a smile,
a half-smile,even less,
and, in company reveling,
in half a nights expend
some fifteen roubles’ worth of lyrical change.

CONCLUSION

Neither quarrels,
nor miles,
can wash away love.
It has been deeply thought,
tested,checked.
Solemnly raising index-lined verse,
I swear-
I love
immutably, truly!

YOU

You came—
determined,
because I was large,
because I was roaring,
but on close inspection
you saw a mere boy.
You seized
and snatched away my heart
and began
to play with it

like a girl with a bouncing ball.
And before this miracle
every woman
was either astounded
or a maiden inquiring:
“Love such a fellow?
Why, he’ll pounce on you!
She must be a lion tamer,
a girl from the zoo!”But I was triumphant,
I didn’t feel it—the yoke!
Oblivious with joy,I jumped
and leapt about, a bride-
happy redskin,
I felt so elated
and light.
